Position overview
The Process Development Analyst will contribute to a new operating model, map new processes, integrate existing processes, create and update policies, and develop adjacent business collateral. This will involve collaboration and workshopping with stakeholders at all levels of business, project delivery coordination with the Transformation Office, and commitment to achieve critical deliverables under the program.
The Process Development Analyst will also be responsible to develop and integrate key policies and processes as part of a significant reform program.
What we are looking for:
* Experience working within regulatory environments, or understanding of strict adherence to legislation, standards, and policy objectives.
* Demonstrated experience in writing and editing a range of policy, process, and instructional materials in a regulatory context would be well regard.
* Demonstrated analysis, continuous improvement, and project delivery skill with a focus on operations.
* A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills with a strong attention to detail.
* Expertise in process and project methodology such Lean Six Sigma, BABOK, PMBOK/Prince2 will be highly regarded.
About the organisation
The Victorian Building Authority (VBA) is the primary regulator of Victoria's building and plumbing industries, ensuring compliance with relevant laws that protect the Victorian community and promote confidence in the built environment. The VBA manages practitioner registration, monitors industry standards, and enforces compliance through inspections, investigations, and audits. It also supports industry professionals by providing guidance, education, and resources to uphold safety, durability, and sustainability in building and plumbing work. The VBA is committed to promoting accountability and continuous improvement, and plays a critical role in safeguarding Victoria's construction standards and ensuring quality outcomes for all Victorians.
The Building Plumbing Commission (BPC) is a new entity with specialised regulatory powers to regulate the building and plumbing industries, merging the Victorian Building Authority with Domestic Building Disputes Resolution Victoria (DBDRV) and the Domestic Building Insurance unit of Victorian Managed Insurance Agency (VMIA-DBI).
