About the RoleAre you passionate about marketing and communications? Launch Pad is seeking a creative professional to join the team as a Communications Officer. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our profile, reach, and reputation by researching and developing innovative content and strategies. You will manage communication channels, measure performance, and craft compelling copy across various formats, including social media. Your efforts will help build awareness, recruit participants, and celebrate the achievements of the Launch Pad and the wider Enterprise Teams. You will also assist the wider Enterprise Team with coordinating and creating marketing communication and social media channels to support the divisions programs. As a Communications Officer, you will support the team by drafting high-quality messages for diverse channels and publications, operationalising communication channels, and ensuring meticulous documentation and work tracking. You will also provide essential administrative support, including stakeholder liaison, project management, and the preparation of plans, minutes, and reports. Your role will involve continuous improvement by measuring communication performance, conducting post-campaign analyses, and staying abreast of the evolving consumer landscape in startup and innovation environments. Additionally, you will maintain professional relationships with various university units to deliver timely and effective communications, ensuring any issues are promptly escalated. This is a full-time, fixed term position until 31 December 2025 primarily based at Western's Parramatta Engineering Innovation Hub (6 Hassle Street), although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. About YouYou are a creative individual with a degree in Communications, Marketing, or Social Media, or you have relevant experience in marketing/advertising/communications. Your high level of computer literacy includes proficiency with the Microsoft Office365 suite and tools like Smartsheets, Miro, and Canva. You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to analyse data, derive insights, and compile comprehensive reports. Your experience in coordinating digital and social media marketing content is complemented by your well-developed oral and written communication skills, allowing you to craft compelling copy and build effective professional relationships. Additionally, you have a proven ability to work effectively in an editorial capacity with subject matter experts from diverse professional backgrounds.
