This role provides high-level leadership to the project construction team, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.As the Coordinator Construction, you will manage all aspects of construction delivery from design and documentation through to contractor engagement, project execution, and managing defects liability.Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the construction team in delivering projects in line with industry best practices, statutory requirements, and Council’s Operational Plan. Manage contract administration for complex construction contracts (GC21, MW21, AS4902-2000, and AS4000), emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, and stakeholder satisfaction. Develop and maintain project management systems to support effective project delivery. Audit and assess contractor compliance with contracts, plans, designs, and specifications, managing any non-conformances. Provide expert project management advice, interpreting and advising on regulatory requirements for Council’s City Projects Program. Identify and manage potential public liability claims and engage proactively with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Council’s objectives and values. About YouWe are looking for someone who has: Degree or diploma in Project Management, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience in project management, procurement, contract management, and construction, including the execution of major building and renewal projects. Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
