ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE
Our client is a rapidly growing player in the proptech space, revolutionizing Australia’s $300 billion real estate market through a suite of digital media and agent services platforms. This exciting, full-time role as Financial Reporting Manager will be based in Cremorne, VIC, starting in March 2025. This role will be integral to the company's finance team, focusing on the end-to-end management of annual audits, consolidating financial statements for multiple entities, and collaborating closely with auditors and the Finance Director. It offers the chance to work on impactful projects in a dynamic industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the annual financial audit in coordination with the Finance Director.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards across multiple entities.
* Collaborate with auditors to streamline financial documentation and enhance audit processes.
* Draft technical accounting papers on complex topics like Employee Share Option Plans, Business Combinations, and Convertible Notes.
* Contribute to the development and execution of audit strategies and improve financial reporting processes.
* Prepare month-end consolidation for management reporting, managing reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and elimination entries.
* Oversee tax requirements in collaboration with tax agents.
* Tackle ad hoc finance projects as needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA or CPA qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with extensive experience in audit and consolidation accounting.
* Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and audit facilitation.
* Technical accounting expertise with an ability to interpret and apply standards effectively.
* High attention to detail and strong prioritization skills in fast-paced environments.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities at all levels.
* Experience with Xero and Spotlight reporting tools is a plus, though not essential.
