BT is looking for a Business Manager to support the CEO in the day-to-day functioning of the business as well as other medium to longer term activities and objectives.
You will play a critical role in forward planning for the business, ensuring milestones are met and that the business is set up to achieve targets.
You will also provide insight and support into the business plan and assist and monitor implementation of strategies.
You will engage and influence Business and Operations Managers across BT to ensure alignment and delivery on all change and operational activities and initiatives.
You will also: Work alongside and in collaboration with the CEO to take a first pass at writing and submitting responses, papers including Board, reports and presentations, within specified timeframes.
Conduct first review of key Board papers, submissions and external papers such as FSC and regulatory communication.
Ensure that the CEO is appropriately supported for the implementation of the Financial Accountability Regime, including maintaining documentation, records of reasonable steps and oversight for key governance processes.
Coordinate and oversee overall Business Unit operating rhythm, activities, reporting and communications.
Collaborate with the BT Strategy team to coordinate the Wealth Strategy for BT.
Interact with key areas of BT to formalise a Strategic Workforce Plan and manage FTE and recruitment approvals against the financial plan.
Build relationships with key senior executives and their offices across the Westpac Group.
Provide insight and support into the talent structure of the business, including coordinating and playing a key role in talent reviews.
Effectively provide leadership, governance, and implementation for key priorities.
Support the operation of the broader BT Leadership team including the preparation of meeting content and agendas, strategy session coordination and planning.
Provide advice to the CEO based on a strong understanding of the business and its needs.
What do I need? To be successful you will have the following: An understanding of the current regulatory environment, the Financial Accountability Regime and the associated impact to businesses and CEO accountabilities.
Significant business / operations experience in a relevant area of the same or another financial services organisation – ideally in Wealth Management.
Demonstrable experience in influencing senior business leadership teams, strategic thinking and prioritisation.
Preferred knowledge of Superannuation, IDPS Platform and Investment Products.
Understanding of HR systems and processes.
An eye for detail, ensuring that documentation presented to the CEO is accurate, well written and free of error.
A strong strategic perspective, being able to see the big picture, external market environment.
Strong written and communication skills.
Confidence to use judgement wisely, making recommendations both for the CEO and on behalf of the CEO where appropriate.
High personal and emotional intelligence engagement skills, being able to act as a first port of call for all levels of staff across the Westpac organisation.
