The CIT Children's Education & Care department is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of part time Educator Level 2 initially in a part time role (0.8 Full Time Equivalent load in the department), with the possibility of reducing to a lesser load at the end of semester one, 2025. The individual will have extensive experience and knowledge of contemporary VET training and assessment strategies and compliance requirements to support improvements at CIT. This individual will coordinate the continual improvement review process for the department. The successful applicant will have the ability to provide leadership and guidance to support teachers and the department in relation to teaching and learning practices. An ability to work collaboratively, to engage with employers and students as part of ensuring a quality learning experience, as well as a thorough knowledge of the national trends and ‘best practice’ developments in the VET sector is required. Clause M10.8 states that all employees at Educator Level 1.3 (TL1.7) to the Head of Department Level must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent) and a Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or equivalent). Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Desirable: Proven successful engagement with industry areas relevant to Early Childhood Education and Care or Education Support Leadership / Management experience Bachelor of Education, Management or relevant higher-level qualification.
