Role Overview: Undertake a wide range of duties, including community fire safety work, attending fires and other emergencies, and community educationCollaborate with emergency services, including NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service, and NSW PoliceBe paid for attendance at incidents, training sessions, and community safety and education activitiesAbout You: Be team-oriented, community-focused, adaptable, reliable, and available across weekdays and weekends, including day and night workLive and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station to respond promptly to emergency incidentsEssential Requirements: Valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1)Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent residentLive and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire StationTraining and Support: Receive ongoing training and support on all aspects of firefighting and rescue, including basic life support, rope work, power tool use, and community engagement skillsAvailability and Attendance: Be available to respond to at least 33% of all calls over a six-month periodAttend at least 80% of all calls received by the brigade during the compulsory availability in any four-week periodAttend at least 75% of drillsSelection Process: Undergo a number of assessments, including an interview, physical aptitude test, and pre-employment health assessment
