As the Farming Operations Manager for Queensland, you will oversee a dedicated team responsible for managing the performance of our Breeder, Hatchery, and Broiler farms across South East Queensland. Additionally, you will oversee all transport, catching, and live haul operations while collaborating closely with our processing sites and industry stakeholders.Key responsibilities: Manage performance of company-operated breeder farms, hatchery, and contract broiler farms across the state.Manage contract chick/egg transport, catching, and live haul operations.Lead and support the team to ensure a clear understanding of requirements relating to animal welfare, safety, quality, sustainability, and customer expectations.Coach and develop the team to ensure they have the capability to meet personal and performance goals.Drive and implement continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives across all operations, including breeder and grower performance.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including processing, Northern NSW breeder farms, and external industry partners.Manage and monitor budget and spending across the state.Lead and complete projects on time, within framework, and to budget.Key requirements: Extensive farming experience gained in a large, complex business.Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to build, lead, and develop teams to create a positive and collaborative working environment.Strong understanding of poultry welfare along with sound knowledge of safety, environmental, and compliance requirements.Proven ability to develop and implement farming plans to budget with strong analytical capability and effective P&L and budget management skills.Superior communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to build strong relationships across the business and with external industry partners.We're looking for people who are curious, caring, courageous, and committed to joining us; people who want to contribute their best work every single day and continue delivering deliciously good food that's…Always Good!About Ingham's: Ingham's is the largest integrated poultry producer across Australia and New Zealand.
