The Queensland Police Service's (QPS) Health, Safety and Wellbeing Division has embarked on one of its most significant organisational transformations. Central to these improvements is the significant uplift in the capacity and capability of our Safety Group. The Safety Group comprises specialist safety, risk, governance and compliance functions including those for psychosocial hazards and risk management. The Group also play a key role in strategic planning for health, safety and wellbeing and is involved in high level projects and program development.
There are two Manager roles available: one has primary responsibilities for central governance, compliance, statewide and significant reviews and systems, and organisational development; the other has primary responsibilities for managing day to day WHS operations, advisory and support services including through a statewide team of locally based Health and Safety Advisors.
You will apply your recognised expertise in WHS management systems and operations to drive improvements across the breadth of QPS's WHS functions. As a resp
