Narrogin Cottage Homes is seeking an experienced administrator to join their team as an Executive Officer.
The Executive Officer (EO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across all areas of Narrogin Cottage Homes Inc. This includes ensuring the organisation's financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, asset protection, and delivery of high-quality aged care services. The EO works closely with the Board to develop and implement strategic plans, manage risk, and maintain strong governance practices. A key part of the role involves fostering a positive, skilled workforce, supporting staff development, and ensuring effective delegation and communication across all levels of the organisation.
Further responsibilities include:
o Oversee financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and funding compliance
o Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and organisational systems
o Manage public relations and promote the organisation's profile within the community
o Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and government bodies
o Ensure workplace safety and adherence to WHS policies
o Promote cultural inclusivity and support resident wellbeing
o Uphold high standards in policy development, communication, and leadership
To be successful, applicants must have:
o Demonstrated experience at a senior level in management, in a relevant area such as health and allied services, business administration, or financial management, in order to manage and provide leadership at a senior level in a rural aged care environment
o Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant area such as Business, Finance, Health or similar
o Current full driver's licence
o Australian Citizenship
o Current National Police Clearance Certificate or ability to gain this
Essential Criteria Experience and Knowledge:
o Business & Financial Management - Strong financial oversight, strategic planning, risk management, project evaluation, IT competency, and negotiation skills.
o Workforce Leadership - Proven ability to build and lead a positive, professional, and inclusive work culture across diverse teams.
o Aged Care Sector Knowledge - Understanding of aged care legislation, standards, and industry developments.
o Organisational Leadership - Experience in executive leadership, stakeholder communication, staff development, and risk/quality systems.
o Governance - Knowledge of governance roles, strategic planning, compliance, policy, and board support.

This is a high-stress position based on full responsibility for Narrogin Cottage Homes operations and as such the hours required may be long and irregular.
A good level of physical fitness and mental resilience is essential to meet the demands of the role.
This role is available as a full-time position or as part of a job share arrangement, with the option to drive in and out also available.
