We are looking to hire a passionate and seasoned Conservation Officer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the enhancement of their natural resource areas. Your new role The role of the Conservation Officer is to contribute to the enhancement of the Council's significant bushland and foreshore natural reserve areas (bushland, grasslands, creeks and wetlands) within the municipality, by ensuring they are maintained and developed to a high standard. Undertake a broad range of bushland and foreshore maintenance and development tasks in accordance with agreed standards, practices and procedures. Take direction from Bushland and Foreshore Crew Leaders to ensure programmed works and reactive customer requests are completed and reported on promptly. Supervise Friends of groups, school groups and other community groups undertaking maintenance and development tasks of foreshore reserves Maintain a culture within the crew of working across the department in delivering high quality bushland and foreshore reserve services, reporting issues and checking in with others. Maintain positive relationships with customers to deliver outcomes aligned to the departmental and organisation objectives.
