This role is an ideal starting point for final year students, recent graduates or individuals embarking on their careers in radio. You will be looking after some of Australia's largest radio shows!
This position offers an exciting opportunity to dive into the world IT and broadcasting technology. As an AV Tech you will have the chance to work closely with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in operating and maintaining studio equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to the seamless execution of live broadcasts. This role provides a solid foundation for those looking to develop their skills in broadcasting, signal transmission, and information technology. About the role:
Broadcasting and Technical Studio Equipment
1. Ensure the effective functioning of broadcasting and streaming equipment, both within studios as a priority and production environments, by responding to and resolving any technical malfunctions or operator issues.
2. Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule for broadcasting and technical equipment is adhered to, in accordance with quality standards, policy and priorities.
3. Ensure any additions or changes to infrastructure are documented clearly and accurately.
Radio Transmitter Sites
4. Always ensure the effective operation of ARN’s radio transmitter sites and transmission signals by monitoring signals and fail-safe systems.
5. Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to by inspecting the technical equipment and transmitter building sites, in accordance with quality standards, policy and priorities.
IT Facilities and Office Equipment
6. Provide hardware and software support for all computer systems.
7. Assist IT staff to ensure hardware and software support for computers to resolve user issues.

8. Understanding of AV hardware
9. Base level IT knowledge
10. Excellent time and project management skills.
11. Sound organizational skills.
12. Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal in English.
13. Technical related knowledge and experience in broadcasting or similar industry
