In doing so, the Architect plays a key part in advancing Telstra Health's vision to enable more integrated, effective, and accessible healthcare solutions across the digital landscape.Please note, this is a fixed term contract for 3-6 months.About the role:The Senior Solution Architect will report into the Lead Architect and contribute to the architecture and design of Telstra Health products and services. The Senior Architect will play a crucial role in aligning technology strategies with business goals, ensuring that systems are designed for scalability, security, and performance. They will be responsible for fostering a collaborative environment and driving best practices across the organisation. The key accountabilities include:Design and ArchitectureDesign and implement interoperable healthcare solutions, ensuring seamless integration between legacy and modern systems.Lead solution architecture efforts focusing on FHIR-based interoperability, AI-driven capabilities, mobile responsive web applications, and mobile application development.Provide technical leadership in system integration, ensuring alignment with healthcare industry standards and best practices.Document architectural designs, implementation roadmaps, and best practices.Collaborate with Cross-functional TeamsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, technical, and business stakeholders, to define and drive architectural decisions, which result in scalable and secure solutions that meet current and future business needs.Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and methodologies to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.Technology Evaluation and GuidanceLead the evaluation and selection of technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure optimal system performance and maintainability.Provide architectural guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to design principles, best practices, and coding standards.Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and architectural best practices to ensure solutions remain cutting-edge.Documentation and ReviewsDevelop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system architectures, including diagrams, specifications, and integration points.Conduct architecture reviews to ensure that solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture standards and long-term goals.Ensure compliance with Telstra Health architecture and standards.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure the architecture supports business strategy and delivers value to customers.Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.Facilitate discussions with senior leadership and key business units, identifying opportunities to optimise technology solutions and improve service delivery.Build strong relationships with external partners and vendors, ensuring solutions are cohesive and in line with industry standards.About you:Essential CriteriaQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field will be highly regarded.Certification:
Certification in architecture or related areas (e.g., TOGAF, CHIA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) will be highly regarded.Education:
Additional training or coursework in software engineering, system design, or cloud computing.Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT architecture, or a related field.Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex technology solutions, with a proven track record of successful projects.Experience applying architectural principles, design patterns, and best practices, with hands-on experience in technology stack selection and integration.Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing clear communication and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.Proven experience as a Solution Architect in healthcare technology domains.Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources).Experience in the application of Machine Learning (ML) including generative AI.Experience designing and integrating mobile applications into enterprise healthcare ecosystems.Highly Desirable:
