About the role & Company Our client is a large, Australian retail brand whos is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a 2 month contract.
The role focuses on general ledger reconciliations and is best suited to someone who has worked in a fast paced environment with a high volume of transactions and can hit the ground running.
The office is based in Alexandria and will require the individual to work 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.
The responsibilities Daily bank and general ledger reconciliations Investigating account discrepancies and rectifying Resolving account inquiries as quickly as possible.
Managing supplier remittance details, ensuring accurate and timely payments Supporting the project team with ad-hoc requests The successful applicant Experience in a similar accounting role Must have worked in a fast paced environment with a high volume of transactions AP experience is preferred but not essential Strong communication skills and high attention to detail Ability to work independently and proactively Additional Benefits Option to extend Fun and driven working environment.
