Business/Systems Analysts (Information & Communication Technology) Full time About the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Our vision is for older Australians to trust and have confidence that aged care services protect and enhance their safety, health, and quality of life.Everyone has the right to safe, compassionate care.We preserve this right and ensure that people who use aged care are treated with dignity and respect.More information about the role, vision and people of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission can be found on our website.About the Team The Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy Division sets the strategic direction and guides the delivery of our risk-based regulatory operations informed by high value intelligence, analysis and data.The Division supports whole of Commission responses to risk issues through regulatory policy responses and campaigns and facilitates sector performance through sharing information with providers and consumers.The Intelligence and Analysis Section provides the Commission with the data, information, and intelligence it needs to deliver, assess and tailor regulatory operations to protect the safety, health and well-being of aged care consumers effectively and efficiently.About the Role/s We are recruiting multiple Data Analysts/Senior Data Analysts to support several functions across the Intelligence and Analysis section.The roles include collating data from multiple sources, analysing large data sets to identify patterns and trends, translating complex data into insights, and communication (written and verbal) of findings to technical and non-technical audiences.The successful candidate/s will deliver analytical products and reports that support the new Aged Care Act and Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission's vision for data driven regulation of the aged care sector.Data extraction, data modelling and statistical analysis to assist with data-driven decision making for current and future projects.Stakeholder engagement and coordination to determine organisational analytics needs, delivery of analytical products, and identification of new analytics needs.Supporting with and/or coordinating, managing and developing short- and long-term analytical projects.Developing and delivering written reports, infographics and presentations.Contributing to the development of innovative ideas to tackle challenging aged care policy problems using data analytics.In addition to the above, the APS6 positions will involve: Providing knowledge/skills transfer to other team members.Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria): Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills including the ability to interpret and synthesise information from a range of sources.Ability to prepare and analyse data and interpret the outcome to form well-reasoned and defensible conclusions.Good organisational skills and ability to adapt to evolving work priorities.Ability to work both independently and productively as part of a team, and to meet deadlines.Excellent writing skills, including the ability to translate findings from data analysis to written reports, presentations, or dashboards that may be delivered to both technical and non-technical audiences.Willingness to maintain and extend subject matter expertise through ongoing professional development and learning opportunities outside the formal education process.Experience in application interfaces (e.g.Qlik, Power BI) to generate new stories, ideas and viewpoints.Experience working with health, aged care, or disability data.Salary offered will be between APS5 $83,048 - $89,813 and APS6 - $92,970 - $104,883 per annum depending on skills and experience.In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.Roles are offered on an Ongoing/Non-Ongoing basis, with non-ongoing roles offered for an initial period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of one extension up to an additional 12 months.Applications close on Sunday 27 October 2024 at 11:30 PM (AEDT).#J-18808-Ljbffr
