With a rich history of innovation and a commitment to sustainability, this client empowers their customers to meet the growing demands of the energy sector.
Position Overview:
Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead a high voltage and medium voltage products division targeting the utilities and renewables market. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and expanding market presence in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and understand renewables and utility customer market by gathering data on markets, competitors, technologies, and trends.
2. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
3. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the utilities and renewables sector.
4. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and engineering to align offerings with customer needs.
6. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to executive leadership.
7. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform business strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Electrical background, either from trades, prior sales experience or educational qualification such as a degree.
2. Hands-on experience within the electrical trades industry OR proven track record of success in a related electrical industry.
3. Understanding of the renewables sector (solar, wind, BESS), including knowledge of key players, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies.
4. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
5. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and driving business growth.
