About TasRecycle
TasRecycle is a not-for-profit entity appointed as Scheme Coordinator of Recycle Rewards to administer the Tasmanian Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), announced by the Tasmanian Government.
Supported by its Members, comprising Lion, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, and Asahi Beverages, who have significant experience in managing container deposit schemes across Australia and are proud to be involved in Recycle Rewards to help create a circular economy for beverage containers and reduce litter.
Our Purpose
TasRecycle is an exciting new business tasked with the oversight and administration of Tasmania's Container Deposit Scheme (Recycle Rewards).
We aim to help keep beverage containers out of landfill, creating clean streams of recycled materials that help build our Circular Economy by promoting product stewardship of all Beverage Suppliers in Tasmania.
As appointed Scheme Coordinator for Recycle Rewards, we work with the Tasmanian Government and partners to oversee the building of a large-scale container recycling network, transforming Tasmania's waste and recycling system.
Through a 10c refund for every eligible container returned, we encourage Tasmanians to collect and recycle their beverage containers, making a positive difference to our people, environment, and local industry.
Our People
At TasRecycle, our people have come together with a common purpose to build a successful CDS projected to reduce beverage container litter by up to half.
It takes a large network to achieve this effectively, which is why our people are great at partnering with others to achieve great results.
We have a clear vision and are building a team of action-oriented specialists who share a common passion to make a real environmental impact, and possess the skills and experience to build a world-class CDS for Tasmania.
