This growth has created new roles within our Perth team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.We are looking for an experienced Site Security Manager to join our team at HMAS Stirling, a key Defence installation with substantial importance in Australia’s broader geopolitical security strategy. Your core responsibilities will encompass Access Control, CCTV Operations, Patrolling, and Alarm Response, while also focusing on stakeholder engagement and strict adherence to contractual obligations. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure optimal results through effective team management, operational efficiency, and high-level compliance within a regulated and classified Defence setting.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership and Team ManagementSupervise and support a team of 40+ Security Officers, setting clear expectations and maintaining high standards in line with Defence and Wilson Security requirements.Conduct regular team briefings, manage performance development, and provide feedback to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.Create a positive team culture through open communication and inclusive leadership, fostering professionalism and resilience in alignment with the shift in operational focus.Contract and Operational ManagementOversee daily operations in Access Control, CCTV monitoring, Patrolling, and Alarm Response, ensuring that all activities meet Defence and company standards.Ensure compliance with the Base Services Security Contract, seeking opportunities to enhance service delivery and maintain operational excellence.Drive process improvements and efficiencies in security protocols and team performance.Stakeholder Engagement and ComplianceBuild strong relationships with Defence stakeholders, navigating the highly regulated, classified environment effectively.Act as the primary point of contact for the Base Manager and Wilson Security’s Regional Security Manager (or delegate), ensuring alignment on operational goals.Maintain rigorous adherence to health, safety, and security standards, with a focus on the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).Administrative and Technical SkillsDemonstrate advanced computer skills, including policy development, meeting facilitation, and reporting.Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and generate comprehensive reports to support Defence and Wilson Security operations.Utilize scheduling systems effectively and maintain awareness of the Security Services Industry Award 2020.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:We seek a dedicated and experienced security professional with:Must be able to obtain an NV1 Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance (Australian Citizen)Ideally 3+ years of security leadership experience managing large teams in high-profile, high-security environments.Understanding of working culture and operational requirements.WA Security License and Australian Citizenship (required for Defence clearance).Proficiency in Access Control, CCTV Operations, Patrolling, and Incident Response.Strong knowledge of the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF) and ability to interpret the Security Services Industry Award 2020.Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills for effective communication in a classified setting.Advanced computer skills for policy management, scheduling, and reporting.A proactive approach to cultural and operational shifts, with a focus on driving positive change within the team and broader site operations.WHAT WE OFFER:Competitive remuneration in accordance with and above the SSIA 2020.Professional development opportunities within the Defence and Security sector.Career growth opportunities within Wilson Security, particularly within Defence contracts and high-security environments.A supportive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes teamwork, leadership, and operational innovation.WHY JOIN WILSON SECURITY?This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to security in a vital Defence setting.
