The role
A rare opportunity exists to join the luxurious Crown Towers Sydney as the Hotel Manager. As a senior member of the leadership team, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the operational excellence of the hotel and on-site residences, managing and leading all Crown Towers Department Managers alongside the General Manager – Crown Towers Sydney. You’ll be a key driver of the planning, development, continuous improvement and delivery of all Hotel operations and will provide strong leadership to your team of 5 direct reports, ensuring positive financial results are achieved through elevated service standards and efficiency.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Supporting the Department Managers to deliver on annual business objectives and operational targets
2. Ensuring collaboration across Departments (Bell Services, Concierge, Front Office, Housekeeping, Butlers) to maintain consistent service delivery
3. Be the ambassador to VIP guests and apartment residents, ensuring escalations are managed & resolved appropriately
4. Overseeing recruitment activity, whilst supporting with internal development & succession planning
5. Actively contributing to discussions relating to operational effectiveness, continuity and improvement
6. Maintaining strong industry knowledge of developments and initiatives (competitor activity, business issues, projects etc)
7. Assist senior leadership with implementation and execution of sales and marketing strategies at an operational level
8. Provide ideas and compelling offers to reflect changing customer patterns trends
9. Representing Crown Towers at industry events, associations, committee meetings and formal functions
10. Promoting Crown Towers to local, regional, national, and international constituencies
You'll have:
11. Significant experience in a senior management position within a premium or luxury hotel
12. Strong customer service background and proven ability to lead teams to a high service culture
13. Exceptional leadership capability, and experience leading in diverse and challenging environments
14. Demonstrated ability to advise and influence all levels of management and employees
15. Sound hotel operational leadership acumen with proven ability to meet business objectives
16. Proven ability in planning, communication and conflict negotiation skills
17. Qualifications in Hotel, Commerce or related business discipline is advantageous
