Our design solutions are aimed at transforming the way people interact with their built environment.Job PurposeThe Documentation Technician is responsible for supporting the teams to deliver projects by designing and maintaining the highest document.ResponsibilitiesProduce high quality project documentation for projects to profit and on time using Revit, CAD and SketchupManagement of the document libraryRegularly improving and adding to the documentation libraryContinually advising and training the design team on updates to the librarySharing shortcuts, lisp programs, and beneficial AutoCAD functions with the design teamProduction of working drawings, plans, elevations, joinery and partition detailsManaging small projects independently from time to timeManage the contribution of documents within project financialsKey Result AreasDeliver documentation for projects profitably and on timeSupport the design team in all aspects of the projectsDemonstrated understanding of project financialsExpert use of Revit, CAD and SketchupEducation and ExperienceMinimum 7+ years’ experience managing and producing documentation for architectural and interior design projectsExpert in Revit, with experience in AUTOCAD and SketchupExperience in other high-profile architecture practices and / or projects preferredKnowledge of industry standard documentation protocolsStrong knowledge of interior products and construction methodsStrong understanding of joinery construction, detailing as well as building detailingAbility to produce prototype details with the design team where requiredValue managing all details to ensure the constructability and cost is on or underStrong knowledge of BCA Codes and Australian standardsPersonal AttributesOwnership taker – prepared to take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of their documentationTo be accountable to the design team in meeting project deadlinesTo be proactive in the preparation of project documentationEvaluation – a resilient approach to problem solving that provides solutions to problemsAbility to work and to contribute generously as part of the project teamWhat it’s like to work for IA.....IA promotes an inclusive and flexible work environment with opportunities for national collaboration across our studios.
