Thornlie Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of hardworking and enthusiastic English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
Suitable applicants should be highly organised and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Teachers who can create a learning environment that is differentiated, challenging, caring, and creative and that caters for the range of needs so all students may achieve and progress are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications are sought from teachers who possess the ability to support and promote this plan.
Suitable applicants will ideally have sound interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work cooperatively in English Learning Area team. Sound classroom management, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and the ability to practise a range of teaching strategies are highly desirable for this position.

You should be able to work effectively in a team and independently, while supporting the initiatives and programs in English, within Thornlie SHS.
