Your opportunity:
As the Senior Strategy & Planning Manager you will lead the development and ongoing evaluation of the Customer Marketing strategy and transformation priorities as well as supporting the leadership team and portfolio leads with managing trade-offs relating to execution priorities across portfolios. This role sits in the Customer Marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Customer Strategy.
You’ll make an impact by:
* Leading the development and evolution of Customer Marketing’s overarching strategy (anchored in the longer term and working back) in consultation with the leadership team and portfolio leads.
* Leading the development of the overarching customer retention and growth strategy, which includes annual commercial priorities, initiative planning, and annual and quarterly customer marketing plans in alignment with portfolio leads.
* Leading the annual and quarterly planning processes, aligning the process and coordination across portfolios.
* Communicating the function’s overarching strategy, plans, and priorities to key team and cross-functional stakeholders.
* Monitoring external macro insights and trends to support the development of competitive and compelling strategy formulation.
* Rationalising and quantifying the prioritisation required to deliver annual customer marketing targets.
What you’ll bring:
* Experience in defining, building and articulating business strategies for a large-scale organisation in line with broader organisational goals and targets.
* Structured approach to strategic analysis, with ability to succinctly frame and solve strategic problems, using data.
* Ability to translate external macro insights into considerations for competitive and compelling strategy formulation.
* Experience in identification, assessment, management of strategy related risks.
* High financial literacy, ability to read and understand financial statements, and recognise how different actions and strategies can impact profitability and revenue.
* Experience leading mid-sized strategy, commercial and/or insights teams.
* Experience communicating complex ideas to senior audiences in simple, compelling ways.
* Working with others to solve business problems with the appropriate level of empathy and joint problem solving.
