In this role, you will participate in the design, development, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes. You will collaborate and support other engineering disciplines for mechanical matters. Your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard mechanical engineering techniques and criteria will enable you to make impactful contributions to the team. Major Responsibilities: Perform design of mechanical systems for materials handling including crushers, screens, conveyors, and pumps. Perform calculations and preliminary analysis leading to technical design recommendations. Preparation of material requisitions, specifications, and other procurement related documents. Assist in the evaluation of suppliers and technical bid evaluations. Coordinate with mechanical designers to produce layouts for crushing plants, screening plants, conveyors, and pump stations. Experience in chute design methods, both continuum and discrete element modelling would be beneficial. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills: Computer skills including competence in MS Office suite and other common software. Flexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks. Analytical problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication. Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
