We're on a mission to make a real difference, and we want you to join us!For more information about Job Pathways, please visit our website: https://jobpathways.org.au/The Role: The primary purpose of the Administration/Employment Officer role is to take responsibility for all ‘front of house’ operations inclusive of reception. As well as develop strong partnerships with job seekers to obtain vocational and non-vocational skill required to assist them in securing and sustaining meaningful employment. Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Manager and Employment Officers.
Manage office phones and job seeker enquiries.
Maintain reception, waiting room and common area appearance.
Encouraging and facilitating case conferencing of job seekers with difficult circumstances.
Support with the use of Self-help facilities, including reporting requirements.
Ensure job seekers are effectively engaged, with culturally responsive ‘strengths based’ assessments undertaken which focus on ‘employability’ functions.
Managing electronic records of job seekers. Including appointments, case notes, job plans, goals, and other relevant information.
Support the job seeker to understand and manage Points Reporting Period.
Ensure all assessment and intervention tools are relevant and current.
Provide coaching and mentoring to job seekers during their post-placement support phase.
Maintaining a sound level of understanding of, and compliance with, contractual requirements including all guidelines and correspondence issued by DEWR; organisational Codes of Conduct and Policy and Procedure manuals.
Provide timely reports to the Employment Service Manager on all operational aspects as applicable to the role.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience with clients facing complex challenges (disabilities, homelessness, mental health, etc.).
Experience working with Indigenous Australians and remote communities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and attention to detail.
A MyGovID, valid driver's license, and ability to pass a Police and Working with Children Check.
