The Role The role for hire is a Child Care Worker based in Tongala, VIC, it is a full-time role with an annual salary between $73,150 - $75,000, depending on experience plus superannuation. The Responsibilities Set clear expectations to promote positive behavior and social interactions. Assist with mealtimes, promoting healthy eating habits and good table manners. Supervise children during activities to ensure their safety and proper behavior. Encourage peer interaction to develop teamwork and social skills. Offer emotional guidance to help children express their feelings and build confidence. Observe and assess children's development, providing support when needed. Manage daily routines, ensuring activities proceed smoothly and on schedule. Support children in transitioning between activities and daily routines. Entertain children through stories, games, and imaginative play. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for exploration and learning. Organize and lead engaging activities that encourage learning and creativity. Help prepare materials and equipment for both educational and recreational activities. The Requirements Related qualification in Early Childhood education First Aid Qualifications and Training as prescribed by the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 (CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, General First Aid) At least 2 years of professional experience in childcare work in Australia At least 2 years proven experience working in a childcare setting At least 2 years of experience working with children aged between 0 and 6 years A valid working with children check A current knowledge of relevant curriculum frameworks and the ability to implement a program that caters to diversity amongst the children, educators, families and community A working knowledge and thorough understanding of the national quality standards, the education and care services national law act 2010 and the education and care services national regulations 2011 Well-developed communication and inter-personal skills with children, adults, fellow educators and the community Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, being sensitive to the strength and weaknesses of fellow team members
