Role Summary:
The Data Scientist role is a core technical role within the Data Science division of Kinesso. The purpose of the role is to provide audience insights for clients leveraging IPG owned proprietary data assets. This role is responsible in transforming, optimising, and providing efficiencies within our data platforms to facilitate online & offline marketing effectiveness, enabling clients to optimise their marketing budgets, and measuring their business performance by way of data analysis and predictive modelling.
The opportunity also exists to learn and work alongside our leading data specialists, building advanced data science capabilities including segmentation, predictive, local area marketing, programmatic and data visualisations.

Key Responsibilities
7. Work with one of the largest consumer data sets in AU with the ability to acquire, cleanse, transform and verify data from first, second, and third-party data sources.
8. Interpret data, analyse results, and identify trends using statistical techniques and provide ongoing insights/measurement reports.
9. Manage end to end client delivery which involves internal stakeholders, data collection & preparation, quality control and delivering accurate/timely models & insights.
10. Manage the execution and keep track of all scheduled project tasks. Investigate any issues and escalate to Head of Data Science if deadlines are at risk of delay.
11. Work closely with specialist teams to collaborate on data infrastructure and process.
12. Liaise with key internal SBUs / agencies to verify data integrity, model accuracy, and seek input for client presentations.
13. Proactively engage leaders across the business to build a data science profile and identify new business opportunities.
14. Evaluate and refine processes for continued efficiency improvements.
About you:
15. 1+ years proven experience as a data scientist.
16. Experience using statistical programming languages, libraries, or packages for analysing large datasets. E.g., R, Python, SPSS.
17. Experience with data modelling techniques such as multiple linear regression, classification, segmentation etc.
18. Experience with ML and AI.
19. Experience with large data sets, specifically web traffic (clickstream) and third-party demographic data.
20. Experience with data interrogation, manipulation and extraction using SQL/R/Python applied to large databases.
21. Experience with Media Analytics is desirable.
22. Experience visualising, presenting data and building dashboards using Tableau is desirable.
