Branch Manager - Reinforcing Steel

Wagners Reinforcing Steel forms part of the many materials and services required in the construction industry. It is incorporated into concrete footings, slabs and structures within residential, commercial, civil and construction projects.
This role is based in Northgate, Brisbane reporting to Wagners Steel Manager. The successful candidate would directly lead the Northgate Steel business with a strong focus on sales, client service, staff engagement, and financials, while maintaining oversight on operations, safety, environment, quality, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will maximise value, efficiency and effectiveness ensuring the following key tasks are carried out:
* Evaluating current and future business opportunities to grow the business
* Establishing and delivering budgeted ESG sales revenue targets
* Continuously monitoring, measuring and reviewing revenue indicators
* Building and establishing relations with internal and external Stakeholders
* Working with Operations and Production Managers managing costs and productivity
* Meeting company processes, procedures and initiatives
* Lead, manage and monitor employees fostering teamwork and communicating business objectives
* Production planning to ensure quality, efficiency, and machine utilisation
* Manage raw materials procurement and inventory including managing supplier relationships
* Management of maintenance and preventative maintenance schedule
* Working to QA & OH&S requirements, developing, reviewing, and enforcing safe work practices.

Skills & Experience
* Experience in reinforcing steel, concreting or the construction industry
* 5 years in a similar role with proven leadership experience
* Negotiation experience to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes and high levels of service to clients
* Ability to build rapport and motivate your team of direct reports
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
