The Project
The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:
1. Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
2. Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
3. RAAF Base Wagga
The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:
4. Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
5. Construction of new training facilities
6. Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
7. Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

Your opportunity
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Site Manager will effectively manage and lead the day-to-day activities of direct labour and subcontractors in the delivery of the scope of services; meeting safety, financial and productivity targets within planned schedules and guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
8. Extensive experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor will be highly regarded
9. Experience in delivering major building projects, with civil experience also highly regarded
10. An understanding of defence and security requirements
11. Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
12. Demonstrated knowledge of, and commitment to, relevant Safety, Quality and Environmental standards legislation and practices
13. Demonstrated ability to plan and organise resources to achieve outcomes
14. Proven ability to develop and lead a team to complete works to meet targets
15. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and plan works to achieve KPIs and targets
This role is locally based and for those outside of Albury/Wodonga/Wagga areas, relocation is required. An attractive relocation package that includes removalist cost and a LAFHA (for eligible individuals) will be made available to the successful applicant.
