Junior Control System EngineerPerth based, Monday to Friday roster.Competitive Market rates on offer.12 month duration with potential to extend.About Our Client:Rio Tinto operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets.These assets include a world-class, integrated network of 15 iron ore mines, four port facilities, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure.Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.About the Role:WorkPac are currently seeking a Junior Control Systems Engineer based in Perth to commence work as soon as possible.This position will hold a Monday to Friday roster, 12 months in duration with competitive rates available for the successful applicant.This role is a great opportunity for a Junior Engineer with limited previous experience who is keen to gain experience in the resources sector in a professional and safe working environment.Key Responsibilities will include:Develop, implement, test, commission and support improvements to existing equipment PLC logic, process control algorithms and HMI for Rio Tinto's ports facilities and mine sites.Work within a team of experienced engineers and support the Lead Engineers in ensuring that the project team delivers to the required quality, time, and budget.Work with supervision on-site in installing and commissioning whilst following change management processes and site HSE practices.Provide technical assistance to the project team and to Site to help resolve any issues during the commissioning and support phase of the project both remotely and potentially on site.Provide technical input, participate with conceptual and detail design, specifications, prototyping, programming, testing, commissioning, support, and associated procedures and documentation.Assist in completing change management practices, adhering to both the project change management, as well as the Site change management procedures.Prepare Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) documents and develop commissioning procedures.Skills & Experience Required:Relevant bachelor's degree qualification in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Development or a related discipline OR previous experience working as a Control Systems Engineer or related role.Enthusiastic team player, capable of working in a team environment and proactively engages with stakeholders.Strong communication skills, with an ability to understand business objectives and a willingness to share diverse perspectives.Experience with PLC programming and HMI design in any industry.Previous experience working on projects in an industrial setting.Knowledge of high-level programming languages.Experience with SQL databases.Current "C" Class Driver's License and Own Transport.About WorkPacWorkPac is Australia's largest privately owned workforce services business with over 1.3 million registered candidates.We offer tailored solutions in recruitment, skills and career development across Mining, Construction, Healthcare and more.Our consistent promise to both candidates and clients is that choosing WorkPac is always a Good Move.#J-18808-Ljbffr
