Add expected salary to your profile for insights Strike Force Services is an established local facilities management company providing services to mining and power station industries, commercial and domestic sectors and local councils throughout NSW and QLD.We have a team of approximately 400 dedicated and long-term employees.You can discover more about Strike Force Services at our website .The Role We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Trade Assistants to be based full time on our client's site in the Singleton NSW area.The position will report to the Strike Force Facility Manager onsite and undertake a range of duties to support the daily operations of open cut mine site.Duties include: Assisting a range of trade services – Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC Herbicide application Keeping material stock up to date Setting up and packing up equipment General site clean-up work – hosing, sweeping, shovelling, etc.Carrying out inspections Driving in the pit of the mine with heavy vehicle interactions Communicating with Strike Force Facilities Coordinator to determine daily work priorities Adhering to Strike Force Services and site policies and procedures Actively participating in daily risk management processes and regular toolbox meetings Undertaking Job Safety Analysis and taking 5 on site before each task Skills and Experience Sound understanding of tools and equipment Working at Heights, EWP, and forklift licence are highly desirable Good work ethic and reliability is paramount Confidence to effectively communicate with the client Current drivers' licence and must have own transport (Manual licence is preferred) White Card High level of physical fitness to perform the lifting/manual handling of this role The ability to plan, prioritise and problem solve Ability to work effectively and productively both alone and as part of a team Ability to stand/walk over long periods of time, indoors and outdoors during summer and winter months Experience in documented risk management processes – able to complete JSEA, SWMS, Take 5, etc.Understanding of Work, Health & Safety Ability to provide 3 work-related references Ability to complete and pass a full medical including drug and alcohol testing.We have a zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol and testing is ongoing during employment.
