About the Role As a Network Engineer you will be a critical member of a high performing Infrastructure Services team responsible for the administration, management, and maintenance of Network Services for our customers.
Reporting to the Technical Lead – Network Services, this role is integral to the success of the well-established and growing Cloud & Infrastructure Services practice, ensuring our portfolio of technology services are delivered and maintained to a high standard.
While the role will have significant focus on BAU, it will present certain opportunities to work on project tasks.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer to join a highly skilled technical team, providing exposure to a wide range of technologies disciplines.
It is a permanent role with flexible work from home options & is to be based from our Macquarie Park office in Sydney.
Main Duties Maintenance and management of a wide range of network services including on-prem, datacentre, cloud, LAN, WAN and security Develop, support and enhance deployments of network services across various network solutions and offerings Develop and maintain secure, reliable and high performing network infrastructure Develop and deliver various components of network infrastructure platforms Optimize the architecture of deployed network services Create and maintain strong technical documentation for managed systems and services Act as the SME for managed service customers, overseeing the updating of network documentation and facilitating project handovers.
Fulfilment of BAU requests, project delivery tasks and technology initiatives Delivery of small-scale projects Develop and enhance technology processes to improve efficiencies across the deployment base About You The position will require someone with proven technical experience managing, maintaining, enhancing, and further developing use of Cloud, Datacentre and Campus network environments, utilising best practices to ensure maximum uptime, performance and optimisation across services utilised.
The ideal candidate would possess excellent troubleshooting skills with a high level of analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
They would also have the willingness to own technical escalations as an expert.
Key skills & experience include: At least 3+ years in managing, configuring, enhancing, and maintaining datacentre, cloud, LAN, WAN and security network services.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience in routing and switching skills - Cisco, Aruba, Juniper (atleast one) Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Firewall products and services - Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco (atleast one) Load Balancing Technology - F5 or NetScaler (desirable) Wireless solution including NAC services - Cisco/ISE or Aruba ClearPass (desirable) Knowledge across Cloud providers - Microsoft Azure & AWS Ability to work in a team environment with a shared workload Good communication and documentation skills Technical certifications in relevant technology areas (preferred) In return we offer a supportive team environment where collaboration and support from your leaders and peers is the norm.
