We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing comprehensive therapy programs for our diverse caseload. The ability to speak another language is highly regarded. You will collaborate closely with support coordinators and families to develop individualized treatment plans and provide specialized interventions to promote functional independence and enhance overall well-being.
o Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patients' functional limitations, goals, and needs.
o Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
o Skilled in using therapeutic modalities, equipment, and assistive technology to enhance patients' independence and daily living skills.
o Skilled in functional capacity assessment, SDA & SIL assessment, and home modification assessment.
o Provide therapeutic interventions to patients to improve physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning.
o Monitor and evaluate patient's progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
o Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies for managing activities of daily living, modifying environments, and promoting overall well-being.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.
o Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and social workers, to coordinate holistic care.
o Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices, attending relevant workshops, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
o Adhere to ethical and legal standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and providing care in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
o Current police check
o Current working with children card and disability worker screening card
o Current driver's license
o Current public liability and professional indemnity insurance
