Retail Supervisor-Far North Queensland We are seeking an experienced Retail Supervisor for this busy venue located in Far North Queensland. This role would suit a candidate with excellent supervisory, retail, stock control, stock ordering, and merchandising experience looking to be a part of a friendly local community. Commence: ASAP Pay Details: (HIGA Award) $70,000-$75,000 Accommodation Provided Travel assistance available Key Responsibilities: • Ensuring professional customer service whilst exercising patron care in line with relevant Legislation, Regulations and company standards. • Coordinating the ongoing cleanliness and maintenance of cellar or liquor store areas and equipment • Preparing displays and presenting stock, including specials and accurate ticket writing • Ensuring competitive stock pricing and maintaining stock control • Maintaining wages, GP and turnover in line with agreed budget. • Ensuring the timely and accurate reporting to management on daily takings and following up on discrepancies • Ensuring that stores are adequately resourced to meet the operational requirements of the business. This may require working weekdays, evenings or weekends. • Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by management Financial • Taking receipt of all monies and issuing change • Reconciling transactions • Liaising with the Hotel Manager to review and analyse Hotel Retail takings and associated data for the Hotel Management • Ensuring the financial profitability of the Retail operations • Liaising with suppliers to develop financially viable specials and promotions • Assisting in the development and implementation of the Retail operations strategy for the Hotel • Participating in the review, development and marketing of innovative services / promotional initiatives to maintain an edge in the market place and grow the business • Ensuring appropriate security measures are taken to safeguard the premise • Supporting the management team by supervising the daily operation of the Retail area • Providing leadership in Retail Operations to ensure the provision of responsible alcohol service • Providing direct supervision of team members • Assist the Hotel Manager providing training to ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements • Coordinating, with Human Resources, relevant training and development for food and beverage attendants • Leading by example to maintain the grooming and hygiene standards of staff • Observing and complying with relevant Legislation, Regulations and company Policies and Procedures • Ensuring compliance with State, Federal & Legislative requirements in the daily operation of the Hotel Candidates Must Have: Previous retail experience, stock control, stock ordering, merchandising Cash Handling Skills required need to be above average.
