We live our core values: determined, innovative, reliable and collaborative.As Program Manager you will be responsible for the leadership and project management of nominated programs and contracts within Kongsberg Defence Australia portfolio.This includes:Developing comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and establishing timelines to ensure project alignment with business goals.Leading cross-functional teams by assigning tasks, managing resources, and fostering collaboration to drive project success.Creating and managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial performance aligns with project constraints.Identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and proactively addressing challenges to minimise project disruptions.Communicating effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations to maintain alignment and support.Ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements by implementing robust review and testing processes.Tracking project progress using KPIs, identifying deviations from the plan, and implementing corrective actions to stay on track.Maintaining accurate project documentation, preparing progress reports, and conducting post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.Undertaking travel as required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfill the requirements of this role.Required Qualifications and Experience:Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering or a related discipline.Project Lifecycle Management within the defence industry (or similar field): Proven experience managing projects through all phases, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring successful delivery.Budget and Schedule Control: Hands-on experience in creating and managing project budgets and timelines, delivering projects on time and within financial constraints.Risk and Issue Management: Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while effectively resolving issues to minimise impact on project outcomes.Stakeholder Management: Strong track record of engaging with diverse stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and senior leadership, to align expectations and ensure satisfaction.Experience delivering programs with the ASDEFCON framework (desirable).Earned Value Management reporting and analysis (desirable).Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).Must be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.Deadline: COB Tuesday 4 February 2025 at 5:00 pm (AEST) please apply via Seek Website.How do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a programme manager?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have with project planning and scheduling?How many years of people management experience do you have?What's your expected annual base salary?Have you completed a qualification in project management?How many years' experience do you have as a Budget Controller?How many years' experience do you have as a Risk Controller?
