An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Procurement Specialist based in Sydney. This role offers the chance to develop, implement, and execute procurement processes and strategies to optimise and continually improve the performance of the Procurement function. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering strategic initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and providing commercial advice.
What you'll do: Manage supplier and internal stakeholder relationships and establish appropriate communication channels.Ensure buying activities are performed including order placement, maintaining procurement data, non-compliance management, inventory management, forecasting reporting, stock take and budget activities.Support Strategic Sourcing by providing all relevant inputs for the development, ratification, and periodic review of category strategies.Execute the category strategy.Provide commercial advice and related considerations to assist internal teams in relation to supplier and contract management.What you bring: Proven procurement experience in a commercial environment incorporating project service delivery, technology or supplier management.Ability to assess the capability of suppliers and commercial proposals.Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in supplier management and contract negotiations.Sound understanding of supplier contracts.Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships.Ability to quickly resolve daily challenges.Knowledge of quality and regulatory systems for medical device companies.What sets this company apart: This company is a global leader in its field, committed to delivering quality solutions.
