Primary objective The Project Officer performs project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of enterprise-wide workplace mental health related projects. Context statement The Workforce Management division provides enterprise human resource case management and employee relations advice and support to client agencies across the NTPS. This position sits within Workforce Health Management Projects Team, delivering priority projects relating to injury management and workplace mental health promotion, prevention, and early intervention. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Contribute to the design, implementation, and coordination of projects as part of the Workforce Health Management Projects Team and support for high-quality service provision to client agencies. 2. Undertake research and analysis to support the development of key projects and the improvement of processes across DCDD and the NTPS in relation to workplace mental health and suicide prevention. 3. Deliver on assigned projects and processes within agreed timelines and quality standards, including coordination and secretariat support for relevant governance groups and networks. 4. Prepare project-related documentation and resources for a range of audiences, including status updates, literature reviews, secretariat records, project plans and fact sheets. 5. Work collaboratively with the Senior Manager Workforce Management to liaise across DCDD Divisions and with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective program development, planning, service delivery and implementation. 6. Source, collate and compile data and information to support reporting requirements and informed decision-making. Selection criteria Essential 1. Demonstrated experience contributing to the successful delivery of projects and initiatives, ideally with a workplace health focus. 2. High level oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish collaborative, respectful and inclusive relationships at all levels to positively influence project outcomes. 3. Previous experience working appropriately with confidential and/or sensitive information, or the ability to quickly acquire. 4. Demonstrated planning, problem solving and organisational skills, including the effective management of multiple projects and associated stakeholder engagement. 5. Well-developed, conceptual and research skills including the ability to develop literature reviews, reports, and evidence-based resources. 6. Sound written skills and the ability prepare correspondence and documentation with an attention to detail. 7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative, and respectful. Desirable 1. Relevant qualifications in public health, psychology, human resources, or related field. 2. Knowledge and understanding of mental health promotion, prevention, and intervention, or ability to obtain.
