As a Production/Quality Engineer, you will manage construction and pre-casting methods, prepare design specifications, and oversee the installation of pre-cast components. Your responsibilities include conducting site evaluations, ensuring safety compliance, preparing technical documentation, and contributing to the design of transportation systems and infrastructure projects.
Plan and determine construction and pre-casting methods, materials, and quality standards for project delivery. This includes drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, and procedures related to construction and pre-casting.
Execute engineering tasks such as detailed design, verification, and studies relevant to the discipline, focusing on cost-effective and simplified designs that prioritize safety and fabrication efficiency.
Develop design specifications for pre-cast components, overseeing their manufacturing, delivery, and installation.
Calculate load and grade requirements, as well as material stress factors, to establish design specifications.
Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Lead or participate in surveying to define installation layouts, establish reference points, and determine grades and elevations to guide construction.
Estimate the quantities and costs of materials, equipment, and labor to assess project feasibility.
Prepare and present public reports, including bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and descriptions of property and right-of-way.
Prepare technical documentation for civil material requisitions and support the procurement department with technical evaluations.
Evaluate construction sites and perform inspections, field tests, and laboratory tests on local soils and construction materials.
Design the physical components of transportation systems, including highways, railways, urban transit, air transportation, logistics networks, and associated terminals.
Qualifications/Attributes: Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
Must possess at least a minimum of 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience.
Must have great written and verbal communication skills.
Must be excellent at time management to meet project deadlines.
Must be proficient in the latest versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software packages.
Salary Range: $73,000 – $95,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
