As a Mental Health Professional, you’ll be supporting Head to Health service consumers, and working alongside your colleagues on the team which include specialist nursing, other allied health professionals and lived experience peer workers. You’ll also:
o be supported by our Head to Health Service Manager.
o have access to first class professional supervision, professional development, and support.
o have the opportunity to be innovative, helping us to find new ways to meet mental health service gaps in the region.
Your key responsibilities will include:
o Provide support services to consumers of the Head to Health service in accordance with the service model.
o Undertake health screening and health monitoring activities.
o Undertake assessments including mental state assessments and risk assessments and provide appropriate interventions to consumers and carers.
o Provide clinical interventions for consumers impacted by mental ill health including evidence based therapeutic interventions.
o Provide Care Coordination, develop recovery plans and discharge plans in consultation with consumers/carers.
o Provide education to consumers/carers.

The skills you’ll need (selection criteria):
o Demonstrated recent experience (within the speciality), knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of mental health presentations and comorbid disorders.
o Understanding of client assessment, care coordination, and support.
o An understanding of client confidentiality and appropriate conduct.
o Understanding of mental ill health and related issues.
o Knowledge of relevant government and community services and facilities.
You’ll also need:
o Relevant Tertiary allied health qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or other applicable Allied Health profession including full registration with AHPRA or relevant board.
o National Police Clearance, no more than three months old.
o Current WA Driver’s Licence.
