Job Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of contemporary exhibitions, museum programming, and local studies services that connect our community with our rich history.
* Develop engaging experiences across facilities, collaborating with volunteers and fostering partnerships with external organisations and individuals who share our vision.
* Create accessible online content and drive community engagement with our cultural collections.
* Curate exhibitions, interpret historical narratives, and enable access to local studies resources.
Requirements:
* Strong blend of people skills and technical expertise.
* Ability to design and execute compelling exhibitions while maintaining attention to detail.
* Experience in managing community history and heritage collections, including exhibition communication plans, loan agreements, and object handling.
* Proficiency in working with databases, digital platforms, and electronic resources to enhance public access and research capabilities.
