Your opportunity The Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a registered nurse who supports and works collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager and Assistant Director of Nursing & Midwifery, Workforce and Informatics.
This role provides leadership and direction to nursing staff and is responsible for the facilitation and provisions of operations and Human Resource Management consistent with contemporary standards and best practice within Nursing Services and Productivity.
You will assist recruitment processes by:
Working closely with and reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure up-to-date information and coordination of recruitment processes.If face-to-face interview, meet and greet candidates.Ensuring paperwork is organized for interview.Interview panel participation where required.Consulting with relevant Nurse Unit Managers on interview clinical questions.Working closely with AO3 Nursing Services to ensure all relevant recruitment documentation is available and recruitment processes are completed in a timely manner.About the Team The Nursing/Midwifery Resources Team supports organisational and business strategy with a specific focus on the Nursing and Midwifery workforce.
There is a connection with various stakeholders to bring about the planning of Nursing and Midwifery workforce to meet the needs of the patient, the staff, and the organisation.
The Nursing/Midwifery Resource Units core business has recently expanded to become a centralised nursing recruitment hub for the Mackay HHS.
The unit consists of Assistant Director of Nursing & Midwifery, Nurse Manager Resources and Productivity (BPF), and three AO3's.
