Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organisation, which uses peaceful actions to expose global environmental problems, and develop solutions for a green and peaceful future. Our priority focus in the Australia Pacific region is tackling climate change.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Open to candidates Australia wide.
THE TEAM
Our goal is to bring down the might of the fossil fuel order standing in the way of a sustainable future – and we need your help to do it. We are looking for a creative digital expert, who can develop engaging content for web, email and social media audiences through much-needed digital storytelling to change the world.
You’ll join a highly skilled, dedicated and passionate team of eight digital engagement experts, including social media, creative partnerships and content creation specialists, working in a fast-paced dynamic environment committed to driving campaigns with impact.
We expose environmental crimes, hold companies and governments to account, promote climate solutions and inspire others to create positive change.
THE ROLE
As a Digital Campaigner, you will help deliver and create digital content to attract new audiences and drive people to take online action and/or donate. This role will focus heavily on content creation across social media, web, and email. In this role, you will work effectively with multiple teams balancing the needs of campaigns, fundraising, and engagement.
You will work closely with an Engagement Lead, who is responsible for delivering the digital engagement strategy, and you will report directly to the team manager heading up the Digital Engagement team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who deeply understands the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Someone who has strong graphic design, digital content creation, and production skills in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. Copywriting skills along with familiarity with channel-specific content needs are certainly a big bonus.
You’ll have a background in graphic design, communication or digital marketing.
Alongside this experience, you’ll also have:
* Demonstrated success in a similar role in social media campaigning, digital marketing and/or campaigning space
* Knowledge of building audience lists and growing support for campaigns online and through social media, using paid and organic methods
* Excellent skills in writing and publishing content for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, and a willingness and enthusiasm to engage with emerging platforms
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
* A role with one of the most well-known brands in the environmental NGO space, and the strength of the 50 years of Greenpeace behind you
* A great work-life balance including a 35-hour work week, integrity framework, and generous leave conditions (including an additional week of paid leave between Christmas and New Years)
* Genuine flexible working conditions including remote work or hybrid working arrangements
* An incredible brand new head office space that has just opened up in Rosebery, Sydney
* A culture that celebrates inclusivity, belonging, and diversity
* An annual health allowance
