Position: Educator Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $73,250 plus superannuation per annum Location: Condon QLD 4815 Our client is seeking an Educator to join their Child Care located in Condon, Far North Queensland.
As an Educator you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework and ensuring compliance with national quality standards and relevant legislation.
In this role as an Educator you will contribute to a nurturing, educational, and safe environment for all children in their care.
Main responsibilities include: Main Responsibilities Include: Program Development and Delivery: Support the design and delivery of developmentally appropriate learning programs in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework and in consultation with management.
Assist in regularly evaluating and adjusting programs to meet the evolving needs of children.
Compliance and Record-Keeping: Adhere to all relevant regulations, including the National Quality Framework, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety Regulations, Fire and Evacuation Legislation, Family Assistance Law, and the delivery of Child Care Subsidy.
Maintain accurate and confidential records for each child, including developmental and health-related information.
Child and Family Engagement: Welcome children and families daily, fostering open communication and positive relationships.
Build supportive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Work with children with specific needs, as required, to ensure inclusion and support.
Health, Safety, and Hygiene: Supervise children consistently to ensure their safety during all activities.
Follow hygiene and health protocols, including administering first aid and medication as necessary.
Environmental Management: Assist in creating safe and engaging physical environments for children's learning and play.
Promote sustainability and environmental awareness through hands-on activities and guidance.
Professional Development: Commit to ongoing professional learning and adhere to the Code of Ethics.
Participate in training and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the team.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance learning outcomes and share best practices.
Support less experienced staff, trainees, and volunteers as required.
Positive Interactions: Engage with children in a warm and respectful manner, promoting self-esteem and positive behaviour.
Utilize intentional teaching strategies to extend children's learning through play.
Community Involvement: Foster connections between the service and the local community, encouraging children's participation in community activities.

Requirements: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care Minimum of at least one (1) year of experience in relevant field Current First Aid Certificate Current CPR Certificate Current Anaphylaxis Training Current Emergency Asthma Management Training Current Working with Children Check as required under legislation.
