The Opportunity
With our aspiration to foster and promote sustainability in mobility, we are growing our Smart Mobility team in Sydney. Ramboll needs talented and enthusiastic transport planners to join our small, ambitious local team. About You
The following experience is highly desirable in this role:
1. Experience on Australian transport modelling and planning projects within consultancy or government,
2. Bachelors/Master’s degree in urban planning, transport planning, engineering, or similar,
3. Minimum of 8 years practical and relevant experience in the traffic engineering, transport modelling and planning industry, and
4. Ability to work in Australia.
Additionally, the role will require:
5. Lead traffic engineering, traffic and transport impact assessment, transport planning, construction traffic management plan and modelling projects of varying sizes and complexity in Australia, with support from the global team,
6. Take a leadership role in establishing and growing the team’s traffic engineering and modelling capability,
7. Competent and proficient in the use of modelling traffic and transport modelling software, namely SIDRA, Vissim and Visum,
8. Work closely with our Smart Mobility team in Singapore to deliver traffic engineering and modelling projects in Australia and across APAC,
9. Assistance with the implementation of Ramboll’s sustainability strategy and agenda as it relates to Smart Mobility / Transport,
10. Have a ‘can do’ attitude to delivering projects and pursing work to support the growth of the team,
11. Collaborate and provide technical inputs on international smart mobility projects to support our global teams,
12. Work across markets to provide technical inputs and advice relating to traffic impacts and transport modelling,
13. Provide technical leadership to junior and mid-level traffic engineers and transport planners during the delivery of traffic engineering and transport modelling projects,
14. Client engagement, both existing and new, and engage with business associates and partners,
15. Have a strong client network in NSW, in particular relationships with TfNSW, NSW councils and developers,
16. Lead opportunity and proposal pursuits,
17. Support with the development of marketing material, presentations, etc. to support business development,
18. Mentoring junior team members to support their career aspirations and development,
19. Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of transport planning and modelling, and
20. Contribute to our process of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing relating to the Smart Mobility business.
