(This role will be based within Australia) Play an active and strategic role in our ability to operate our asset base at its full potential sustainably over time. Provide oversight and drive consistency on how the Maintenance and Reliability Process is practiced across the company by working collaboratively with site leadership and other business functions. Actively monitor our processes as practiced using KPIs, site assessments and interactions to proactively identify process gaps and address them before they compromise the asset capability. Provide coaching and mentoring to site leadership to develop their capabilities to properly manage the maintenance and reliability process. Provide technical expertise, actively engage on developing and implementing solutions when dealing with complex equipment problems of high impact to our asset performance. Responsible for developing, updating, sharing, and supporting the implementation of Maintenance and Reliability standards across the company, working closely with other business functions and our equipment OEMs to drive continuous improvement. Work closely with site maintenance departments to share safety improvements, best practices, drive reliability centered maintenance and be an agent of change as a member of the Operational Improvement group. Additional Responsibilities: 1. Provide mentorship to Processing Managers and Superintendents across the organization to support their development and to ensure consistency in our Maintenance and Reliability process and standards utilizing our performance and work management dashboards and observations during our site visits 2. Support sites with technical expertise during complex diagnostic, troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring critical equipment specifications are met using safe and efficient methods are utilized with focus on quality of workmanship 3. Conduct site and departmental assessment in relationship to our Maintenance and Reliability process and standards, identifying opportunities, developing system/process level solutions, and supporting the sites during implementation 4. Review and update our Maintenance Standards to capture improvements and best practices that have proven to be more effective than existing ones. Support and connect sites to pursue the implementation of best practices across the company 5. Develop and maintain productive and professional partnerships with strategic Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to drive component enhancements and equipment enhancements that improve overall equipment reliability across Freeport-McMoRan Inc. 6. Perform other duties as required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and eleven (11) years of related technical or engineering experience, including supervisory or lead experience; OR Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (mining, chemical, reliability, mechanical, etc.) and seven (7) years of related technical or engineering experience, including supervisory or lead experience; OR Master's degree in engineering or related field (mining, chemical, reliability, mechanical, etc.) and five (5) years of related technical or engineering experience, including supervisory or lead experience Extensive experience on Health and Safety management systems and standards for the Mining Industry Solid knowledge of Cu Processing facilities and flowsheets with focus on Smelter and Refinery facilities Extensive experience and knowledge of maintenance execution, including preventive work, component replacement, condition monitoring and troubleshooting of Smelting and Refinery assets Extensive experience of successfully leading Continuous Improvement initiatives Extensive experience managing maintenance and reliability organizations Strong knowledge of Asset Life Cycle management, including financial and supply aspects Strong knowledge of Production, Asset Performance and Work Management metrics Very strong analytical and complex problem solving skills Very strong presentation and communication skills to provide clear and concise recommendations to all levels of the organization Training in Health and Safety Fatal Risk Management process and systems Training in Maintenance Procedures for Smelting and Refinery equipment Training in Root Cause Failure analysis methodologies Experience in complex and large scale RCFAs and FMEAs Experience in process mapping, modeling, and performance measurement Experience in SAP Maintenance modules Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration, ultrasonic and infrared analysis Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis Skilled in the development of Asset Performance Metrics Skilled with software tools (SAP, Business Objects, MS Project) Ability to learn and adopt new technologies Ability to travel both internationally to our operations abroad and domestically within the U.S. Ability to travel at least 30% of the work schedule for regular site support functions
