Due to continual success and growth, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Civil and Infrastructure Estimator to join our client focused team in Adelaide. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in Civil and Infrastructure estimating or similar and demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role.
The Senior Civil and Infrastructure Estimator will be responsible for carrying out and delivering both pre and post contract estimating duties and a commitment to delivering customer service excellence and good commercial results is key.
We are keen to hear from candidates to join our team and who must have the following attributes and skill sets:
1. Relevant industry experience in civil estimating and allied sectors and with at least years’ plus demonstrated experience as a dedicator estimator.
2. Strong knowledge of civil construction and has a combination of strong estimating / technical skills and practical knowledge.
3. Experience in South Australia and or throughout Australia is essential.
4. Established relationships with clients, designers, specialist contractors and suppliers is advantageous.
5. Ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a wider Civil Estimating Team.
6. Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior estimators.
7. Must be able to communicate well and establish and maintain strong working relationships.
8. An innovative thought process for best fit cost options and strategies.
9. Must be able to measure in detail and accurately and prepare estimates by first principle estimating and have strong understanding of civil construction productivity in the development of rates.
10. Preparing estimates for both local and regional locations.
11. Programming (use of P Primavera and or Microsoft Projects) and constructability report writing will be beneficial.
12. Experience with estimating software systems, onscreen take-off software and earthworks modelling.
The Senior Civil and Infrastructure Estimator will be responsible for carrying out and delivering both pre and post contract estimating duties, including but not limited to:
13. Project estimates for all phases of design for the project.
14. Cost Control – planning, forecasting and estimation.
15. Value Management
16. Benchmarking Analysis
17. Tender Analysis
18. Post Contract Services, including assessment of progress claims and assessment of contract variations.
19. Preparation of constructability reports and detailed construction programs.
20. Mentoring and providing guidance to junior estimators.
