Our network of private practices have now expanded to include Wollongong, Shellharbour and Nowra.About The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic, well presented and self-motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team based in our Wollongong Rooms. The role is a Permanent Full Time position, however we will consider Part Time for the right candidate.Reporting to the Practice Manager, Medical Receptionist’s play a key role in the successful delivery of exceptional care to our patients. Our Medical Receptionist’s ensure all patients receive excellent service in a professional and caring environment. This role will involve a wide range of administrative tasks, including but not limited to organising appointments, maintaining records, distribution of medical correspondence and other tasks in order to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the practice.Experience in accounts receivable (Hospital Billings, Medicare) &/or Theatre Bookings procedures would be highly regarded.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcoming and greeting patientsProvide reception services when conducting patient clinicsManage patient appointments through our Genie booking systemReview incoming patient referrals from faxes and emails. Contact patients to make appointment based on the referralEnsure accurate patient invoices/receipts are issued to patientsLiaise with patients regarding proceduresScanning, faxing and emailing patient correspondenceDesired CriteriaPrevious experience providing medical reception support is preferredMinimum 1 year experience in a medical practice (preferably specialist practice)Previous experience with Genie booking system would be an advantagePrevious experience with accounts receivable (Hospital Billings, Medicare, Banking) and/or Hospital Bookings would be an advantage.Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, staff and patientsAbility to handle a fast paced environment, prioritise based on importance and organise workflow effectivelyDemonstrated commitment to quality service & attention to detail.Ability to work flexibly within a small team or independently to achieve resultsTo treat patients and family representatives with empathy and compassionAbility to travel and work at any of our practice locations (with notice and by mutual agreement) - this role is primarily based in our Wollongong roomsHow To ApplyIf you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of cardiac patients, and are looking for a challenging but supportive environment, this is the role for you.
