The South Australian Government Financing Authority exists toprovide superior financial commercial and advisory services to theSouth Australian public sector. It is the central financingauthority, captive insurer and manager of the passenger and lightcommercial fleet operations for the South AustralianGovernment.
Job Description: The Senior Analyst,Emerging Risk and Reform is a part of a small team responsible fordelivering strategic projects and providing high quality policyanalysis and advice to the Treasurer and DTF Executive on issuesrelating to the government's insurance function, as well asassisting in the management of building indemnity insurancerisks.
Experience in insurance is not an essential pre-requisite tothis role and applications are encouraged from applicants withvaried work backgrounds. The key attributes of the sucessfulapplicant are outline in the job and person specification andinclude the ability to:
1. conduct research in new policy areas
2. collaborate with stakeholders, and
3. prepare written advice to senior executives and Ministers.
Essential Requirements: An appropriatequalification in public policy, economics, change management,public sector management, or a related discipline.
Special conditions: Some out of hours work andintrastate and interstate travel may be required. Theincumbent will be required to participate in the DepartmentalPerformance Management Program. The incumbent may be requiredto be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration levelacross the department. The successful applicant will be required toundertake a General Probity Screening Check.
Remuneration: ASO6 ($95,588 - $101,109 pa).
