We are looking for innovative, proactive and collaborative individuals who thrive on critical thinking and finding solutions to complex problems, to join our high performing teams across our budget focused teams in: Agency Budgeting and Governance, Strategic Policy and Evaluation, Economic, and the Deputy Under Treasurer's Office.
The opportunity
We have multiple permanent full-time vacancies and fixed term contract opportunities, at various levels, available for immediate filling.
Furthermore, we are establishing a pool of suitable candidates for future vacancies, both permanent and temporary, for a period of up to 12 months from the date the outcome of the selection process has been approved.
Part-time arrangements may also be considered for suitable candidates.
Treasury's Analyst roles work within a team, led by an Assistant Director, to monitor a Government agency's budget and longer-term performance and to assess and provide advice to Executive Government on investment proposals, delivery of major capital projects and resource allocations relevant to the agency.
The core function of these roles is to provide financial analysis and policy advice (at varying degrees, aligned to the classification of the role), on business cases; budget submissions; policy proposals; and the performance of relevant agencies, with a particular lens on ensuring value for money outcomes.
These positions also provide advice to partner agencies and the Government as part of the State Budget and other whole of government reporting processes.
These roles require critical thinking, a capacity to quickly gain awareness of the broader strategic and political context and the ability to develop and deliver messages in a clear, concise and compelling manner.
