You will assist in developing community engagement and education programs that are strategically led, regionally supported, and locally delivered. You will work with members of the Marine Rescue Queensland and a broad range of community groups, including but not limited to schools, local councils, First Nations' communities, and the Queensland Police Service. You will lead key outcomes that provide measureable safety improvements for the communities MRQ serves.
Your Key Accountabilities:
The core capability requirements for this role are:
1. Manage capability development within MRQ, with an emphasis on training and business improvements.
2. Develop, implement and review strategies to enable the MRQ to enhance service delivery to support changing community and environmental needs.
3. Provide advice to senior management on a range of business improvement, policy and procedural issues impacting and/or influencing capability development.
4. Prepare, evaluate and contribute to correspondence, reports and submissions regarding training, operational and legislative issues to support ongoing capability development within MRQ.
5. Develop and maintain effective relationships with volunteers, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that MRQ can appropriately respond to community needs associated with the impact of severe weather events.
6. Undertake projects on a diverse range of capability activities, including data collection, analysis, evaluation and interpretation, and provide recommendations to solve issues.
7. Manage human and financial resources and foster positive working relationships and partnerships in order to achieve objectives.
