With a total of 282 beds, South West Healthcare services a population of more than 110,000 and employs over 2,000 staff across their regional footprint with campuses at Warrnambool, Camperdown, Macarthur and Lismore, and Mental Health and Dental facilities in Portland and Hamilton.
Recently the Victorian Government announced that South West Healthcare would form part of the South West Local Health Service Network, presenting an exciting opportunity for South West Healthcare to provide strong leadership and support across the entire region with its health service partners.
With the commencement of a $450 million capital works program, South West Healthcare is in an exciting phase of strategic development and is seeking a new Executive Director of Finance & Corporate to play a key role in driving sustainable growth that will positively enhance the quality of public healthcare in Victoria's most vibrant coastal city.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director of Finance and Corporate is a dynamic, values-driven leader with a strategic mindset, committed to driving financial excellence and corporate innovation in alignment with the organisation's mission and long-term vision. As a key member of the Executive team, this role helps to shape the future of healthcare services by collaborating with senior leaders to implement strategies that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and financial growth, while upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance within ethical, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
Beyond finance, this role leads critical corporate and procurement functions ensuring that catering and hotel, environmental, and retail services are delivered at the highest standard. Additionally, this role is responsible for leading and overseeing the regional linen and distribution centre, ensuring seamless integration across the entire region.
To excel in this role, you must be a CPA qualified finance and operations professional at an executive level with a successful track record of improving financial outcomes for large and complex public sector or community/service-based organisations. As a leader with high emotional intelligence and deep insight, you are unafraid to challenge norms and explore innovative approaches that streamline processes and maximise value, while upholding the highest standard of care, compassion, and safety.
You are a collegial executive partner, offering commercial insight and strategic support to your peers. With extensive experience working within regulated frameworks, you possess foresight, transparency, and accountability in decision making. Highly collaborative, you foster a culture of trust and shared responsibility, leading your team with empathy, integrity, and a strong commitment to mutual accountability.
